I just posted a short summary of Margaret Crawford's Building the Workingman's Paradise: The Design of American Company Towns on the course folder. It's a nice comprehensive (but brief) summary of the changing face of company towns, and really helps (I think) to put Disston in context. If anyone is interested in looking at the book, I have it BorrowDirect-ed until Nov. 4th. Enjoy!
